There are tons of money-saving apps out there. The two that I use most often are Ibotta and Rakuten, formerly known as eBates. Ibotta offers cash back at stores, or for online shopping. You browse the app, add the offers that you want, shop, and then upload a picture of your receipt. It’s easy, and the cashback adds up quickly. Rakuten is another easy way to earn cashback for shopping. I have the browser extension installed on my computer. When I go to any website that offers cashback, a popup appears asking me if I want to activate the cashback for that shopping trip. If I click “yes” it reloads the website with the cashback activated, and I earn money.
There are a ton of websites that can help you save money when you shop. I buy a lot of dry goods on Amazon. The free two-day shipping for Amazon Prime members really helps. Plus, if you are receiving any type of government assistance, you can get a discounted membership, which still includes all of the benefits. Another great website for saving money on groceries is Thrive Market. Now, Thrive Market is a membership site, but they do offer free memberships for low-income families and current students, teachers, veterans, and first responders. You can apply here; just scroll down towards the bottom of the page. Thrive allows you to shop by diet, as well, which makes it so easy to find paleo-friendly products. You do need to know your prices though. Just because it’s on there doesn’t mean it’s the best possible price, but shopping online is a fantastic way to save money while eating healthily.

The # 1 Way We Save Money On Eating Healthily
Start with a salad. I know what you’re thinking, produce is expensive, but starting our dinners with a salad has helped us save money each week on our grocery bill. The main reason for this is because it allows us to use less meat in each meal. Meat is expensive, and using less really helps us save. Plus, there are ways to save money on fresh produce. We use farmer’s markets, Aldi, and we buy in bulk. Plus, in some states, certain stores or farmer’s markets will double your produce dollars if you are using programs like WIC or food stamps. We also have a container garden outside where we grow cucumbers, tomatoes, bell peppers, strawberries, and green beans.
